On April 30th, the China Communication Construction Company donated 1.22 million Ksh to the Nairobi Mararui Primary School for the construction of two classrooms through Mandela Ya Wanawaki Organization (MYWO). H.E. Zhang Ming, the Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Meng Fengchao, President of the China Communication Construction Company, Hon. Elizabeth Ongoro Masha, Assistant minister and area MP, Mr. Mutahi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Ms Rukia, National Chairwoman of MYWO and other guests attended the handover ceremony.

Amb. Zhang said in his speech, China Communication Construction Company and its subsidiary China Road and Bridge Company have built many roads and other infrastructural projects of high quality in Kenya, which promoted the friendly cooperation between the two countries and made great contribution to the economic and social development of Kenya. The 29th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing, China August 2008. The spirit embodied in the Olympics, which symbolizes love, peace, cooperation, unity and harmony, encourages more and more Chinese companies to join in the great courses of showing love and goodwill in various ways. Three weeks ago, the China Offshore Oil Company made a donation to the Primary schools and community in Isiolo in Eastern Province of Kenya. Today, it is appreciated and encouraged that the China Communication Construction Company provided another donation to the local school. Amb. Zhang expressed his confidence there will be more Chinese companies to join the efforts of these two companies to do so and the friendship between the two people will be greatly enhanced.
